Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program
Providing mediation services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people has been a priority for CJC since its inception. CJC recognised the need for a specific program and, in 2002, started the CJC Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program as a pilot program. Recruitment and training of Indigenous mediators from northern and western NSW was completed in January 2003. The program was successful and expanded to southern NSW and Sydney.
